Shawn Colvin has tapped James Taylor and Edie Brickell as guests on her new album, Whole New You, due out March 27th on Columbia. The album will be Colvin's first recording of new and original material since 1996's A Few Small Repairs (which contained her hit "Sunny Came Home"), and it finds her teaming with longtime producer John Leventhal.

Leventhal co-wrote all of the tracks on Whole New You, including "Roger Wilco," which was also co-written by Brickell. Taylor duets with Colvin on "Bonefields" (a favor she will return by contributing guest vocals for his next album due out this summer).

Near the time of the album's release, Colvin will pop up as a priest in the upcoming comedy caper, The Heartbreakers. The movie, which stars Sigourney Weaver and Jennifer Love Hewitt as a mother/daughter con team, is due March 23rd. Colvin will also reprise her "role" as church singer Rachel Jordan on The Simpsons in the spring. Currently, Colvin can be seen on DirecTV's "Music in High Places" program throughout the month of January; her episode takes place in Tahiti.
