(NEW YORK) - Max Cavalera, the erstwhile vocalist/guitarist of speed metal act Sepultura, has formed a new group, Soulfly.|

The 4-piece combo will debut April 21 with a self-titled set on Roadrunner Records; the album will draw upon hip-hop, hard-rock, and musical elements from Cavalera's Brazilian culture.

Although Cavalera left Sepultura last year, the band's remaining three members plan to find a new singer and continue recording under the same name.
