Sean Lennon isn't shy about praising one of his father's artistic rivals: He loves Brian Wilson's Smiley Smile (the old-school version) and thinks the Beach Boys' cut "Our Prayer" sounds like "Bach on LSD." But when asked what contemporary song he wishes he wrote, the singer shocks us. "R. Kelly's 'Trapped in the Closet,' " he admits. "I think it's genius, on many levels." Say what?
To read more on which Beatles song inspires him and revealing which 45 was in constant rotation on his dad's jukebox, check out our exclusive Q&A with Lennon in the September 21st issue of Rolling Stone.
In the meantime, check out this Sean Lennon-approved playlist (R.Kelly included!).
