Weiland was sentenced on Thursday in Pasadena, California, on two felony possession charges. The terms of the probation include continued inpatient rehab treatment, court-monitored drug counseling sessions, attendance at Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and random drug testing.
If the singer meets those terms for a year, the rest of the term could be commuted and his case tossed out. In the meantime, Weiland and the rest of Velvet Revolver plan to record their debut album this fall.
