Where the dreamy acoustic folk of this sweet-voiced Canadian singer-songwriter was merely boring on her own albums, much of this trance-heavy remix project is downright irritating. On the jumpier remixes, including the New Order-ization of "Vox," McLachlan sticks out like a khaki-clad middle manager at a hip nightclub, and when the beats merely ornament her slo-mo melodies, Bloom: Remix 2 sounds like just another lame chill-out compilation.
