(NEW YORK) - Sammy Hagar, the recently deposed front man of Van Halen, has hit the solo road again at top speed with Marching To Mars, his first solo record in 10 years. The May 20 release also launches the Track Factory, the label arm of entertainment company the Bubble Factory. Hagar's former bandmates in Montrose, which broke up more than 20 years ago, play on the album, as do a number of fellow Bay Area residents, such as Huey Lewis and Mickey Hart. The rocker says that he had not planned to cut an album so quickly, but that two weeks after leaving Van Halen, "I would wake up every morning with a new song in my brain, and I would just run with it."
