Album Reviews
Junglist Roni Size has always been a team player, but with Touching Down he clears the other producers, MCs and musicians out of the mix and does it all himself. What's left of his sound is an oddly squirrelly strain of drum-and-bass. Tunes such as the ballistic "Uncensored" are frenetic but not very funky. "Feel the Heat" is more like it: With a supersonic yet head-bobbing piano, it takes off like jet-stream jazz.
