JAMTV has learned that Arizona-based pop group the Refreshments have parted ways with Mercury Records.|

Michael Lustig, the band's manager confirmed Friday afternoon that the band indeed would be leaving the label, but that the decision was more or less a mutual one.

The Refreshments were first signed to Mercury in 1995 by A&R man Peter Lubin. In that time, they released two albums, Fizzy, Fuzzy, Big & Buzzy and The Bottle and Fresh Horses, which had combined sales of more than 400,000 albums.

The band is currently talking to other major labels and should be announcing a new deal in the near future. (Ari Bendersky)
