RHCP Postpone Shows

Posted Jul 17, 1997 12:00 AM

Following days of speculation, the Red Hot Chili Peppers have postponed their two shows in Hawaii (July 21) and Alaska (July 23), while Anthony Kiedis' shattered wrist heals.| But the band will definitely play the Fuji Music Festival with Foo Fighters, Beck, Prodigy and Rage Against the Machine July 26, according to Karen Moss, the band's publicist.

And when JAMTV asked Moss about the future of the Chili Peppers, since bassist Flea recently linked up with the reformed Jane's Addiciton, Moss assured us that the band is sticking together. "They had been rehearsing for the three shows and they are scheduled to go back into the studio," Moss said. "It's just a bummer that this all had to happen, but Anthony should be released from the hospital today."

Earlier this week, Kiedis dislocated and shattered his wrist in a motorcycle accident and had pins placed in his arm when his bike collided with an elderly couple's car making a sudden U-turn. Stay tuned to JAMTV to find out more on the state of Kiedis' health and the rest of the Chili Pepper's plans. (AB)
