Rancid and Our Lady Peace are among the bands participating in the Third Annual Bud Light Big Air Series, a pro-invitational snowboarding competition sponsored by K2 Snowboards and On Board Entertainment.|

The bands, which also include Pennywise, Blink 182 and the Specials, have been chosen to perform on a mountainside stage when some of the biggest names in snowboarding compete for a large cash prize -- $65,000. Other bands may still be announced.

Brian Savard, Jimmy Halopoff, Andy Hetzel, Megan Pischke, Athena and last year's champions, Kevin Jones and Tina Dixon are among the snowboarders who have been invited to compete.

Other activities during the winter-time festival include BMX and professional in-line skate demonstrations by extreme-athletes Tony Hawk, Cara-Beth Burnside, Rick Thorne, Ron Wilkerson, Dennis McCoy and the K2 in-line skating team. More than 40 of the industry's leading companies will be on hand to demonstrate their products and let participants try them out. (Lana Fanelli)
