Rahzel, commonly known as the Godfather of Noyze, was introduced Fridayat New York's Wetlands as the Godfather of What-the-Fuck|. And while breaking it down with four other equally talented masters of aural illusion, Rahzel had the audience wondering just that. After performing his trademark Star Wars segment, he went on to merge his vocals and oral basslines and even threw out a few slower ballads for the ladies.

Before Rahzel even took the stage, the X-ecutioners' stunningperformance and gleaming row of turntables blinded the audience. The New York-based foursome advanced their mission of showing the world thatturntables are instruments, not just props. Merging profound hip-hopclassics with cutting-edge releases and occasional symphonic overtures, the X-ecutioners created a completely unique musical event, as they do each time they take the stage.

The show was part of the Grand Finale of the Digital Club Festival, afour-day, 300-band online music extravaganza dedicated to bringingcutting-edge interactive technology to music fans. While audiences groovedto the X-ecutioners or gaped at Rahzel, they were joined by Internet viewerswho commented to one another in real-time chat rooms. The Digital ClubFestival also featured acts such as Common, Everlast, the Metabolics, theMountain Brothers, Prince Paul and Public Enemy. - Kristin Cleary
