Fronted by former Pavement second banana Spiral Stairs, PSI turn out mellow, shambling rock, with Stairs' dry indie-boy voice pumping out dusky melodies and pensively out-there lyrics -- which carry the tunes even when the rhythm section sounds like a wet noodle.
