These Boston cult heroes are born metalheads determined not to sound like those other angsty, plodding goons clogging rock radio. So instead of relying on nothing but dark, heavy riffs, they throw in synths and weirdo sci-fi lyrics.
But these sonic gimmicks can't save the generic songwriting.
