P.O.D. have placed a recent rehearsal performance on www.warnerbros.com for fans to download . . . Elton John will perform on A&E's "Live by Request" on December 3rd, during which he will field song requests made by fans via an 800 number or through www.AandE.com . . . Janet Jackson will receive the 2001 Award of Artistic Achievement at this year's Billboard Music Awards, on December 4th at the MGM Hotel in Las Vegas . . . The church hall stage where John Lennon and Paul McCartney first met is expected to fetch more than $70,000 at a Fleetwood Owen auction on November 27th. Other items up for auction include the grand piano used on "The White Album" . . . Lit will kick off an eleven-date holiday radio festival tour, starting on November 27th at the WBCN Christmas Show with Blink-182 in Boston . . .

Alanis Morissette will receive the Global Tolerance Award by the Friends of the United Nations at a ceremony in New York on December 11th . . . Mariah Carey will release "Greatest Hits," a two-disc anthology on December 4th . . . Living Colour will kick off a nine-date reunion tour on November 21st in Boston . . . VH1 will air "U2: Elevation Live 2001," which captures the group at a recent Boston performance, on November 23rd . . . Mobb Depp will release their new album, "Infamy," on December 4th; Ronald Isley, 112 and Lil' Mo will make guest appearances on the album . . . Reba McEntyre will host the twentieth annual Christmas in Washington event, which will also feature performances by Tony Bennett, Mandy Moore and Charlotte Church, on December 9th at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. . . .

Creed will perform a medley of songs at halftime of the Dallas Cowboys annual Thanksgiving Day football game against the Denver Broncos, while Enrique Iglesias will sing at the Detroit Lions game against the Green Bay Packers . . . Janet Jackson will star in her second HBO special, All for You: Live in Concert. The show will air live from Honolulu on February 17th . . . Mariah Carey has joined the lineup for the December 13th Z100 Jingle Ball, which will also feature performances by Jewel, Alicia Keys and others . . . The Nine Inch Nails DVD/VHS and CD, Live: And All That Could Have Been, has been delayed until January 22nd . . . The B-52's will release the double-disc anthology Nude on the Moon on January 15th . . . Waylon Jennings is recuperating after undergoing surgery last week for peripheral vascular disease, which was causing circulatory problems in his leg . . . Styx's Glenn Burtnick, Journey's Steve Augeri and James Young visited the wreckage of New York City's World Trade Center on November 13th and presented a check for $500,000 raised from their Volunteers for America benefit concerts . . . Usher has delayed the start of his winter tour, which was to begin December 6th, until April, after dislocating his shoulder during a rehearsal . . . Garth Brooks will play his third televised concert on November 28th at South Padre Island, Texas, which has suffered a decline in tourism after a bridge collapsed, cutting off most traffic to the island . . . The Roots' ?Uestlove will take his jazz trio, the Philadelphia Experiment, out for a short tour starting December 14th in Falls Church, Virginia . . . A New York appeals court ordered producer Phil Spector to play $3 million to members of the Ronettes on November 13th for violating his contract with the group . . . Oysterhead donated proceeds from their November 13th and 14th shows in New York City to the New York Police and Fire Widow's and Children's Benefit Fund . . .

Green Day have posted acoustic versions of three songs from their last album, Warning, on www.greenday.net . . . Santana will head out on an eleven-date European tour, starting May 16th in Copenhagen . . . All online sales from Paul McCartney's singles, "Freedom" and "From a Lover to a Friend" (available at music.msn.com, bestbuy.com and windowsmedia.com) will be donated to the Robin Hood Relief Fund . . .
