It's been close to three years since post-punk postergirl PJ Harvey
toured the United States, but fans whose well of hope have run dry
are about to be thrown a bone. She may have lost her invitation to
Lilith Fair (surely she *did* get one), but the 50ft Queenie will
make up for lost time when she kicks off a three-week North
American tour on Tuesday in Seattle, Wash. The eleven-date tour
follows a month of European festival appearances, and should give a
helping hand to sales of Harvey's forthcoming album,
Is This
Desire? (due Sept. 29).
