Moving 'Desire'

PJ Harvey to bring you her new tunes this fall

Posted Sep 11, 1998 12:00 AM

It's been close to three years since post-punk postergirl PJ Harvey toured the United States, but fans whose well of hope have run dry are about to be thrown a bone. She may have lost her invitation to Lilith Fair (surely she *did* get one), but the 50ft Queenie will make up for lost time when she kicks off a three-week North American tour on Tuesday in Seattle, Wash. The eleven-date tour follows a month of European festival appearances, and should give a helping hand to sales of Harvey's forthcoming album, Is This Desire? (due Sept. 29).

The dates announced so far are:

Oct. 20, Show Box, Seattle, WA

Oct. 22, Warfield, San Francisco, CA

Oct. 24, Wiltern, Los Angeles, CA

Oct. 27, First Ave., Minneapolis, MN

Oct. 28, Vic Theatre, Chicago, IL

Oct. 30, The Warehouse, Toronto, ONT

Nov. 1, Theater of Living Arts, Philadelphia, PA

Nov. 2, Avalon Ballroom, Boston, MA

Nov. 4, Hammerstein Ballroom, New York, NY

Nov. 6, 9:30 Club, Washington, D.C.

Nov. 8, Roxy, Atlanta, GA
