Van Dyk Back Out There

DJ's single out this week, new album in September

Paul van Dyk will release his new single, "Nothing but You," this week, with a new full-length album due in September. The album, Reflections, is van Dyk's follow-up to 2000's acclaimed Out There and Back.

"Nothing but You" has been a staple of van Dyk's sets for the past year, and in addition to the radio mix, the CD single will also feature the "PVD Club Mix," and mixes by Cirrus, a Los Angeles breakbeat ensemble, and German hip-hopper DJ Tomekk. Van Dyk shares co-writing credit on the cut with electronica artists Les Hemstock and Chris Jennings, on whose sample he based the song.

The always-busy van Dyk has also recorded a soundtrack to the Mexican film Mano del Zurdo, but no release plans have been announced. In February, he released Global, a CD and DVD package, the former a retrospective of his previous work paired with two new tracks.
