(LOS ANGELES) - Former Virgin Records recording artist Paula Abdul has signed a multirecord deal with Mercury Records.|

Abdul is working on a new album, scheduled to be released this spring. Her new record will be her first in more than two years. Abdul has scored two No. 1 albums, six No. 1 singles, a Grammy Award, three American Music Awards, five MTV awards, two Emmy Awards and two People's Choice Awards.
