On its first live album, this L.A. salsa-rap collective combines deep-feeling wails and agitated Spanglish raps with boombastic global grooves: Think a heavily Latinized Rage Against the Machine. Whether busting some hyper-merengue on "Chango" or dedicating "(Who Discovered) America?" to the parents of immigrants, Ozomatli's dark romanticism projects power, passion and propulsion while minimizing the suave, cheeseball tunefulness that drags down so much rock en espanol.
