(LOS ANGELES) - Sessions at West 54th, a weekly
music series showcasing acts not usually given national exposure,
will premiere July 5 on public television stations nationwide.
American Program Service, a Boston-based company
that has produced shows featuring Ottmar Liebert
and Suzanne Vega, has been given a 26-week
commitment for the show. The hour-long show features a wide range
of music, including Richard Thompson, Taj Mahal, Patti
Smith, Sonic Youth and Philip Glass.
