"We've got reports that it's into Virginia, [Washington] D.C.,
Maryland and Miami," Lighty says. "[It's] just all over the East
Coast."
"I've heard that it's on three different sites," he says. "One site
isselling different tracks; one site is selling the whole
album."
According to Lighty, the "official Queensbridge murderers" are not
planningto take the digital pilfering lying down. "We're going
through [the legal]process right now," he says. "We're getting
lawyers together [to bring alawsuit]."
There are other concerns with the album, Lighty says, namely the
product'sfreshness. "We stopped recording seven months ago," he
says. "They wantedto get some more new shit [and] tighten up the
album."
Murda Muzik is being re-issued to the media, but Lighty is
confidentthat it will be well received. "We already got 4 1/2 mics
in The Source," hesays. The album, one of the year's most awaited,
was scheduled for an April27 release, but is delayed until July 13.
