Defections Plague the Misfits

Singer and drummer split, but Misfits rock on

Everyone's favorite evil old guys, the Misfits , have parted ways with singer Michale Graves and drummer Dr. Chud after the two stormed off the stage at an Oct. 25 concert at Chicago's House of Blues. Graves and Chud's departure was in response to guitarist Doyle leaving the stage in a huff over equipment troubles, leaving Jerry Only, the only original member, onstage. Graves announced earlier in the set that he would be leaving the band on Halloween, which surprised not only the audience, but also his fellow bandmates.

Upon the departure of Graves and Chud, Only and Doyle cancelled the rest of the tour to take time to regroup. To help fill in the gaps, they called in original drummer Joey Image for a few dates and Ken "Renfield" Schalk, who will drum for the rest of the tour. Only took over vocal for a bit but left Ignite's frontman, Zoli Teglas.

A Misfits twenty-fifth anniversary tour is in the works as well.
