Before they were Jay-Z's trusted collaborators and heroes to the indie-psych scene, MGMT were recent college grads profiled in our 2007 Artist to Watch package. It took just one album — 2007's Oracular Spectacular — to convince the industry Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser were the real deal; their second major-label LP is due next year.
