Mastodon

Mastodon were known in metal circles but yet to go huge when RS profiled them in 2005, between their releases of Leviathan and Call of the Mastodon. Concept album Blood Mountain was their big breathrough (it earned them a Grammy nod for Best Metal Performance), and they scored an RS profile for 2009's Crack the Skye.
