(LONDON) - U.K. dance pioneers Massive Attack step
up activity in the territory with the release of two albums by baby
acts on their own Melankolic label. Come From
Heaven, the debut by Alpha, a duo from Massive's hometown of
Bristol, is due Sept. 15, while Craig Armstrong, a
former Texas, the Big Dish, and
Hipsway member, bows in October with The Space
Between Us. Armstrong's songwriting credits include Massive
Attack's "Sly." He also collaborated with Nellee
Hooper on the original score for the film "Romeo +
Juliet." Armstrong's orchestrally based album includes vocals by
the Blue Nile's Paul Buchanan and Liz
Fraser of the Cocteau Twins.
