Mase's first-week sum of 273,500 units is the largest total for
any album since Bone Thugs-N-Harmony opened 13
weeks ago with 394,000 units. Also, Mase's impressive debut marks
the ninth rap album to top The Billboard 200 in 1997 and makes him
the third artist this year, behind Puff Daddy and Spice
Girls, to have a debut album reach the No. 1 slot.
