George Strait, Brooks and Dunn, Martina McBride, Tim McGraw, Vince Gill, Clint Black, George Jones, Charlie Daniels and Lee Ann Womack will play the Country Freedom Concert, an event to benefit victims of the September 11th terrorist attacks.

Co-sponsored by the CMT network and Clear Channel Entertainment, the concert will be broadcast live on CMT Sunday, October 9 at 8 p.m ET. Viewers will be able to phone in or send donations over the Internet during the telecast. All money raised, including proceeds from ticket sales, will go to the Salvation Army's Disaster Relief Fund.

More artists are expected to be announced by the end of the week.
