Dashboard Confessional's new and shamelessly radio-ready cut "Vindicated" sets a desperately overblown tone for this combination soundtrack and celebration of industry-approved schlock rock. Jet, Maroon 5 and Jimmy Gnecco of Ours (who collaborates on one track with Queen's Brian May) manage to participate without losing their dignity, but Train, Hoobastank and the rest bring on the musical pyrotechnics with dollar signs burning in their eyes.
