Eitzel's pretty, well-wrought songs lay poetic, melancholia-drenched lyrics over exquisite (if understated) folky textures -- like an orchestral tribute to sadness or an emo record without the punk-ish energy. Recommended only if you happen to be really down in the mouth already.
