(NASHVILLE) - Blues guitarist Luther Allison still
hopes to play Rockford, Ill., festival On The Waterfront during
Labor Day weekend, said his manager, Miki
Mulvehill of Blue Sky Artist Management
in Minneapolis. Allison will undergo radiation treatment for lung
cancer through at least the first week of August. The cancer was
discovered in early July after he complained of blurry vision
during a summer blues fests tour. Allison's insurance won't cover
his treatment, so donations may be sent to Blue Sky at 761
Washington Ave., Minneapolis, Minn., 55401. And fans interested in
Allison can check up on the guitarist's progress fighting his
cancer. Access updated information on Allison's conditionat Blue
Sky's online address: www.lutherallison.com.
