Long after their mid-Nineties commercial peak, Local H are still kicking out loose, grunge-indebted barnburners that are too wry and messy for modern-rock airplay. P.J. Soles doesn't offer any surprises from these clamorous Chicagoans, but the nicely raw, angsty songs here rank with their best.
