There's a great scene in "Soul Plane" when the passengers hear that the pilot (Snoop Dogg) is dead. Somebody asks whether he's just Tupac dead or really Wilt Chamberlain dead. Good question. Loyal to the Game is the latest chart-topper for the Tupac Lives crowd: Eminem did the production honors here, with cameos from Jadakiss, Obie Trice and G Unit. Em duets with his dead hero on "Black Cotton," but Pac's rhymes easily dominate any other sound on the album. "Ghetto Gospel" has a cool Elton John sample; the standout, however, has to be "Thugs Get Lonely Too," featuring a sad chorus from Nate Dogg. See you next year, Pac.
