Living Colour Go East

Reunited rockers continue their U.S. tour

Posted Jul 25, 2001 12:00 AM

The members of Living Colour -- vocalist Corey Glover, guitarist Vernon Reid, bassist Doug Wimbish and drummer Will Calhoun -- will keep their side projects on ice as they embark on the second leg of their North American reunion tour, this time making stops along the East Coast and Midwest. The band kicked off the first leg with some West Coast appearances in May, only a few months after their first gig together in seven years at CBGB's. They also did some dates in South America and Europe.

Currently, Glover is acting in the independent film Reunion 81, Reid is planning a mini-tour with jazz bassist Jack Bruce, and Calhoun and Wimbish are performing with Mos Def in Japan. The band is also considering making a record later this year. Living Colour's last album was 1993's Stain.

Living Colour tour dates:

8/1: Old Bridge, NJ, Birch Hill Nite Club
8/2: New Haven, CT, Toad's Place
8/2: Hampton Bays, NY, Canoe Place Inn
8/4: Washington, DC, 9:30 Club
8/5: New York, Central Park Summer Stage
8/7: Chicago, Metro
8/8: Ferndale, MI, Magic Bag
8/10: Philadelphia, The Trocadero
