Very Best of is a career-spanning single-disc greatest-hits package that covers everything from "Beth" to "Lick It Up." But was it really necessary to delve into Ace Frehley's solo work and those Nineties songs?

FYI Rolling Stone:

The reason they included Ace Frehley's "Solo" work as you described it was because the four KISS members released separate albums at the same time under the "KISS" name. So, it is actually not considered a "Solo" release.

It was included in this collection as a KISS song. Go back and have another listen to the ACE track, NEW YORK GROOVE. It is a SUPER song.
