Kid Rock was sued for $575,000 in damages on Monday by the Nashville strip club DJ he struck in a late-night brawl in February. That same day, the rap-rock star pleaded no contest to criminal assault and was given a suspended sentence of a year in jail and ordered to attend anger management classes.

Rock will also have to pony up $180 to replace the DJ's eyeglasses, broken when the thirty-four-year-old rocker hit him in the face.

In Nashville for a memorial service in honor of songwriter/promoter Merle Kilgore (Hank Williams Jr. and Sr.), who died on February 6th of lung cancer, Rock found himself at adult entertainment venue Christie's Cabaret late that night. According to police, at about 3 a.m. Rock became convinced that the DJ, Jerry Campos, had disrespected his friend, and demanded an apology. When Campos refused, Rock struck him.
