Clint Eastwood has acted in some of the most successful films in Hollywood, received an Academy Award for directing and even served a term as mayor of Carmel, Calif. Now the rugged screen star will try his hand at singing. |

Eastwood will appear alongside the likes of k.d. lang and Paula Cole on the soundtrack for Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, which he co-produced with Arnold Stiefel.

Eastwood was asked by Matt Pierson to appear on the album. The husky-voiced actor appears on two Johnny Mercer-penned tracks -- "Ac-cent-tchu-ate the Positive" and "Come Rain or Come Shine." Eastwood and Pierson co-produced the album. Kevin Spacey, who stars in the film with John Cusack and Eastwood's daughter Alison, also performs a song for the album.

This isn't the first time Eastwood has sung on a movie soundtrack. He also appear in Paramount's Paint Your Wagon and Warner Bros.' Honkeytonk Man and Bronco Billy.

Look for Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil to hit the big screen Nov. 21. Lang's tune, "Skylark," also a Mercer song, will land on radio Nov. 18. (Lana Fanelli)
