Before the New Year, New Orleans' most famous rapper, Juvenile, returned to his hometown for the first time since Katrina ravaged the city. With his wife and seven-year-old son, the MC -- who has "nolia boy" tattooed on his forearms -- toured the wreckage and shot a video for "Get Ya Hustle On," a controversy-inviting song that includes harsh criticism for New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin, President Bush and FEMA, while encouraging the people of New Orleans to get by any way they can, even if that means selling crack.

"Put yourself in the shoes of a man that just lost everything he worked for," says Juvenile, who was on tour when the storm -- which destroyed his Lake Pontchatrain mansion -- hit. "The government tells you they have no more money. They sent you to a place where you know nobody and they don't have no jobs. I'm saying get your hustle on, nigga. Do whatever you gotta fuckin' do."

The video, which debuts on MTV this month, includes footage of the devastated Lower Ninth Ward, people holding up placards that read "Still here" and three kids who wander the streets wearing masks of Bush, Nagin and Vice President Dick Cheney.

As he toured New Orleans, Juvenile paused to meditate at a house on Forstall Street with "1 DOA" spray-painted on the smashed facade. "People never actually saw this," he says. "They're not even covering it anymore. If I don't speak on it, then who will?"
