Stone falls into the Gap, the Game gets into legal trouble

JOSS STONE's rendition of RAY CHARLES and ETTA JAMES' "The Right Time" will debut in Gap television commercials this week. The song will also be available for free download at gap.com on April 28th . . . The GAME has been charged with assault and battery after allegedly assaulting radio host Kwasi "DJ Zxulu" Jones in Washington, D.C. Jones has also filed a $280,000,000 lawsuit . . . BEYONCE's father Mathew Knowles will release new music from RICK JAMES on August 2nd, featuring a duet with the late funk star's daughter Ty James . . . Nearly a week after the death of guitarist BRYAN OTTOSON, AMERICAN HEAD CHARGE announced that the band will continue touring with MUDVAYNE, rejoining them on April 29th in Lubbock, Texas . . . DEF LEPPARD will release the double-disc compilation album Rock of Ages: The Definitive Collection on May 17th. The veteran British rockers will follow the collection with a covers album, remaking tracks by T. REX, THIN LIZZY, QUEEN, DAVID BOWIE, the POLICE and TOM PETTY AND THE HEARTBREAKERS . . .

MODEST MOUSE and CAMPER VAN BEETHOVEN will kick off a eighteen-show trek on May 25th in Vancouver . . . LAURYN HILL will make a rare live appearance to headline the Stockholm Jazz Festival in Sweden, from July 19th to the 23rd . . . Scottish rockers TEENAGE FANCLUB will release Man-Made on June 7th . . . STEVIE NICKS and DON HENLEY hit the road together this summer. Nicks will preview the tour with some solo dates in Las Vegas, while Henley plans on rejoining the EAGLES in August following the trek . . . SLINT are auctioning some of the gear they played on their last reunion tour on eBay. Fans will have a chance to bid on Slint guitars played by DAVID PAJO and BRIAN McMAHAN through May 1st and 2nd . . . Montreal pop-rockers STARS will perform a benefit show in New York on April 26th. The concert will benefit the Save Darfur Coalition, Human Rights Watch and Doctors Without Borders . . .
