John Mayer has a full itinerary of dates in Australia and New Zealand next month, followed by a European jaunt with Sting in May. That gives him June to rest before he heads out on a lengthy headlining tour of North America starting July 2nd in Milwaukee.

The forty-two-date trek currently runs through the end of August. Mayer, who's still plugging last year's chart-topping album Heavier Things, will be supported by Maroon 5 and DJ Logic. Prior to the tour's official start, Mayer will take part in Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival, a three-day benefit concert (June 4-6) in Dallas. Mayer will be performing along with Clapton, Buddy Guy, B.B. King, Brian May, Carlos Santana, ZZ Top, James Taylor and others, with proceeds going to the Crossroads treatment center in Antiqua.
