Album Reviews
Other rock stars can fight over nicknames like the King or the Godfather, but when it comes to the Ox, or any other nickname derived from ruminant farm animals, John Entwistle had it all to himself. He earned it playing bass for Rigor Mortis as well as for another popular U.K. rock band called the Who. Bass Player collects his finest solo moments: his blokey humor on the live 1975 version of "Boris the Spider," and on "Roller Skate Kate," "Peg Leg Peggy" and "Ted End." Clearly, he was an Ox to remember.
