Former LED ZEPPELIN guitarist JIMMY PAGE became the first musician to receive a star on the British Walk of Fame. On Monday, the musician left his handprint on the walk located in London's Piccadilly Circus . . . Rapper CHINGY has set a November 16th release for his second album, Powerballin'. The first single, "Balla Baby," hits radio in early September . . . STEVE EARLE will be a presenter on August 26th at the "Unconventional Heroes: An Evening of Performance to Honor Courageous Resisters" event at New York University Skirball Center for the Performing Arts . . .

TOM PETTY, BRITNEY SPEARS and KENNY ROGERS have autographed guitars for a Clear Channel-organized online auction to raise money for victims of Hurricane Charley. VANESSA CARLTON is streaming her new single, "White Houses," and the accompanying video directed by SOPHIE MULLER (BJORK, NO DOUBT), on her official Web site. NATALIE MERCHANT has joined the lineup for MoveOn PAC's Don't Get Mad, Get Even! Event at the Hammerstein Ballroom on Tuesday. MOBY, the ROOTS and PERRY FARRELL will also perform . . . DAVID BOWIE has prepared a DVD capturing two Dublin shows from last year's world tour. The DVD, titled David Bowie - A Reality Tour will be released on October 19th . . . ANGELA McCLUSKEY, CHARLIE MARS, FIVE EIGHT, NOW IT'S OVERHEAD and JOSEPH ARTHUR will open select dates on R.E.M.'s fall tour, which opens in Los Angeles on October 13th . . .
