Jamiroquai Cancels Tour Dates

Posted Nov 15, 1997 12:00 AM

Due to scheduling conflicts, Jamiroquai had to cancel four dates on their current U.S. tour.|

The MTV Music Video Award winners were set to bring their dance-infused show to San Francisco (Nov. 16), Chicago (Nov. 26), Detroit (Nov. 28) and Houston (Dec. 1). However, Jamiroquai is also booked to perform on three national TV talk shows - "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "The Rosie O'Donnell Show" and "VIBEtv." Due to the extensive traveling Jamiroquai would have to take on during the short tour, they felt they needed to do these TV shows now and reschedule the other dates for the future, according to a spokeswoman at the Work Group, Jamiroquai's record label.

Jamiroquai won't be back in the States to perform again until at least early 1998. Stay tuned to JAMTV for more details. (Ari Bendersky)

Jamiroquai's canceled shows:

  • Nov. 16 - Bill Graham Civic Center, San Francisco
  • Nov. 26 - Aragon Ballroom, Chicago
  • Nov. 28 - State Theatre, Detroit
  • Dec. 1 - Bayou Place Theatre, Houston
