(NEW YORK) - U.K. act James has canceled its U.S.
tour, which began May 1, after only two days on the road.
Billboard Bulletin's Carolyn Horwitz reports that the
group's lead singer, Tim Booth, known for his
exuberant onstage dancing, has been suffering from a recurring neck
and shoulder injury, a condition so painful that following a May 3
gig in Seattle the band canceled the next two weeks of its trek.
However, Booth has since been diagnosed with a ruptured disc and
has been ordered to remain bedridden for six weeks so the rest of
the tour, which had been set through June 13, is off. James' latest
album, unfortunately titled Whiplash, was released Feb. 25
in the U.S.
