One week after his new album Kiss of Death debuted Number One on the charts, Jadakiss has run afoul of the law. The rapper (a.k.a. Jason Phillips) was hit with misdemeanor concealed weapon and drug charges in Fayetteville, North Carolina, on Monday.

According to reports, the rapper or a member of his entourage extended their July 4th celebration into July 5th, by throwing firecrackers from the window of Jadakiss' RV. An off-duty police officer stopped the recreational vehicle and asked its occupants to cease the activity. After Jadakiss and his friends continued tossing firecrackers, the officer pulled the vehicle over again at which point he spotted a small amount marijuana. The officer asked to search the RV, turning up a pair of handguns.

Jadakiss took responsibility for both the guns and the pot. He wasn't arrested, but is expected to appear in court on July 28th.
