Album Reviews
I Wayne sings in a sugary croon over breezy old-school roots reggae -- complete with cheesetastic washes of Casiotone synth. But listen closer, and you realize that this is one angry dude: On the hit "Can't Satisfy Her," he condemns prostitution with the victim-blaming brio of a Jamaican Bill O'Reilly. His sunny delivery is deployed in the service of an amazingly varied vocabulary of anti-Babylon invective -- including "blood-sucking cannibal being" (from "Life Seeds"), "Grab the harlot head and just guh bounce it against the wall" ("Lava Ground") and "You worster than urine" ("Rastafari Liveth"). Fun!
