(NEW YORK) - Indigo Girls, Tom Robinson and Me'Shell Ndegeocello are among the top nominees for the second annual Gay/Lesbian American Music Awards (GLAMA), the only honors show to hail the work of self-identified lesbian, gay, bisexual, and trans-gender artists.|

This year, more than 300 entries were submitted for consideration, nearly double last year's number. "I've been driven by music my whole life, and I've also strived to live my life with complete honesty," says drag recording star RuPaul, who will receive the coveted Outmusic Award at the event. "To be recognized by the gay and lesbian area of the music business is awesome."
