India Starts Voyage

Singer sets dates for fall tour

India.Arie will begin a fifteen-city North American tour on October 16th in Montreal. The tour comes in support of the singer-songwriter's second album, Voyage to India, which is the follow-up to her debut, the critically acclaimed, seven-time Grammy-nominated Acoustic Soul.

Despite her success, Arie hasn't altered her approach. "I haven't had to change anything about my creative process or why I'm making music or the messages I'm putting in my songs," she said. "I can still be me. 'Little Things' [the album's first single] is a blatant, put-out-there-in-plain-colors example of how I use music. I use music because it's therapeutic to me."

Slum Village, Floetry and K-OS will open for Arie on the tour.
