(NEW YORK) - '80s pop artist Howard Jones will return to the recording arena with a new studio album and extensive summer tour. |

The singer/songwriter/keyboardist, known for such buoyant tracks as "New Song," "Like To Get To Know You Well," "Things Can Only Get Better," and "Life In One Day," will release the set People July 14 on Ark 21. Written over a six-week period, the album utilizes lo-fi loops, percussion, piano, and strings on its series of ballads about relationships.

In conjunction with the disc, Jones will embark on a U.S. tour with musical compatriots Culture Club and the Human League. The outing is to commence in mid-July in Atlanta, with a show July 30 at New York's Radio City Music Hall. A second leg of the tour is planned for the fall.
