Estefan Dance Album

Gloria Estefan will hit the ground dancing on June 2. |

The Cuban songstress has turned buoyant, seductive and even electronic on her new dance club release titled gloria!. The 16-song collection was slated as a remix collection splattered with a few new tracks, but Estefan became enamored with the idea of a dance album and ultimately wrote 11 fresh songs.

Getting by with a little help from her friends, Estefan collaborated with various Latino artists, and smooth hip-hop master Wyclef Jean. A fellow Sony artist, Jean contributed cutting-edge rap sounds to the song "Don't Release Me."

The album's first single, "Heaven's What I Feel," will hit record stores on May 5. Estefan plans to hit the television circuit, but has no solid tour agenda yet, a spokeswoman for Epic Publicity told JAMTV on Friday. (Anni Layne)
