(LOS ANGELES) - Glenn Frey of the Eagles has established an independent label, Mission Records, which will be distributed by Navarre Corp.|

The L.A.-based imprint's first release, due Jan. 20, is the album One Planet, One Groove by Max Carl & Big Dance, a group fronted by the former member of Jack Mack & the Heart Attack.

Frey is said to be working on a solo record for release on his label this year.
