Campbell's plea, for which he'll also be sentenced for leaving the scene of an accident, was arranged with prosecutors who dropped a charge of aggravated assault.
The charges stem from a November arrest in Phoenix when Campbell was involved in a minor traffic accident. The country star left the scene of the accident and drove home. A car followed Campbell, 68, and reported the incident to police, who arrested him. The assault charge was levied after Campbell was accused of kneeing an officer as he was taken into custody. According to a breathalyzer, Campbell's blood-alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit for Arizona motorists.
Campbell could receive a sentence of ten days in jail, though he'll be eligible for a work furlough after two days. He's also expected to receive a community service commitment.
